I remember hearing that it's important to have carbs in the morning before a workout, is this true? I mean as opposed to just protein.

Yes, you need carbs in the morning...they're your body's fuel. In the morning, you're just coming off an 8 hour fast, so your body needs energy...so it's extremely important to put some gas in the tank. Smile

^^^^^^^what he said. Smile

This morning I ate
3 egg whites, 3 strips turkey bacon, serving of cherrios w/ a serving of fiber1 cereal, 1C Skim milk .......and yes, my coffee. Smile This gets me through the next 3 hours to my next meal.

I sometimes eat oats instead of the cold cereal, but I try and eat protein with every meal and eat my complex carbs in the am. (yes, guys, I know..also eat complex carbs before and after workouts Wink LOL)

I LOVE breakfast! Most important meal of the day.

Hi friend, you made a good question because it is most important thing that what kind of food we should take as a breakfast. Dietitian always advice that we have to take heavy
meal as a breakfast. Because at morning our stomach are totally empty and our body needs extra energy which we would get from a healthy and heavy meal. So you should take maximum food as a breakfast in a day.

I eat turkey bacon too...it tastes better than pork bacon, IMHO. 3 g protein per slice, 1/2 the fat content of regular pork bacon. Price is pretty much the same as pork, but it doesn't shrink when you cook it, so you actually get more for your money. When you cook it, you have to watch it pretty closely, because it's easy to burn. Cool

Turkey bacon sounds good! I don't think I've ever seen it at my supermarket though.

Love turkey bacon Smile

Chicken bacon is great as well, give that a try if you can't find turkey.
