Just a thread where we can talk about where we are at and where we'd like to be.
I'm still not training as much as I would ideally like. I find that I'm frustrated with myself. I was on vacation during the last week and a half and I paid little attention to my diet. But since I've been home, I'm back to eating healthier again.
So where is everyone else at? _________________ Love many, trust few, do harm to none - Yau man |

I actually think I am doing quite well. I am not planning on doing any weight training for another 20 days. My beginning plan was to spend the first 30 days of my training toward just cardio, since I'm trying to lose fat, not build muscle right now. When I do start lifting weights, I will be working with 10-12 reps.
For now, I am actually spending more time doing cardio, then I spent lifting weights in the past. The reason, I am currently unemployed, and have been bored. Before I started this, I played to much computer, smoked, and ate too much to get rid of my boredom. So now, I've been getting on the computer long enough to write emails, and read up on anything that I think I should read about. I only eat enough to give myself fuel, and nutrition, and I quit smoking. So to get rid of this boredom, on an average day, I spend 2-3 hours walking. I'm almost at the point where I can start jogging now.
Today, I'm going to apply for a full time job. Hopefully by the time the month is up, I will be 20 pounds lighter. |

Reason for me not posting I can`t seem to get myslef to train.
I want to but don`t want to find the time or there are other things to do, it`s summer so I rather go jetsking and then during the week long hours at work and school add up to my laziness.
But I`ll start a different approach, to keep it short but intense, doing only two exercises per workout. _________________ ...shut up just lift ... |

That's what I call short. If you do that then just incorporate the Big 3 (Bench Press, Dead lift, Squats) and use a cooresponding exercise like Chins, Dips, and Leg Press.
I would go at it like this....
Monday- Bench Press (3x8), Dips (2x15)
Wednesday- Squats (3x8), Leg Press (2x15)
Friday- Dead Lift (3x8), Chins (2x15)
Add some Ab workouts in those days as well. Be sure to not overtrain the Abs, they don't just show up because of gazillions of reps they show up with low BF. Good luck |

that`s the plan
I`ll start with DL, pull ups and pushups.
the reason for pushups is that I feel that I respond well to pushups (bodyweight exercises different variations) and to warm up my shoulders
as my shoulders get stronger I~ll move to dips (my fav exercise)....
I~ll start next week after my final.... _________________ ...shut up just lift ... |

I would scratch out the Leg Press on wednesdays. Try Romanian Deadlifts to get the hamstrings and lower back. _________________ Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings. |

It's vacation time for me, so I'm taking a break from the training...but I'm making a valiant attempt at keeping my diet as clean as possible (except for the odd beer or bbq'ed polish sausage...omg, my mouth is watering!). I'll get back at it after holidays...I always do. |
