|
|
Hi everyone
Im new to the forum, I have just moved from the UK to Toronto and am looking for the cheapest place to buy micronised (easily disolving) unflavoured Whey Protein 80, on the internet if possible.
I used to buy it in the UK for just £20 (about $40) including delivery for a 10lb tub but cant seem to find it anywhere for the same sort of money.
I was hoping that someone has a good place to buy it for around the same sort of money?
Any help is will be much appreciated. |

Welcome to the boards davidgreens. The best way to find out where the least expensive protein , or any other supps are , is really to shop around. You can find good deals both in your area as well as online. Personally , i have a pro shop in my gym where i get all mine at a discount. One good website that i know of by reputation is prosource.com , however i can't say what their prices are like. _________________ It don't feel good till it hurts!! |

| have you tried supplementscanada.com? Have you heard of GNC? They generally have good products but they are very expensive, in my opinion. |

Thanks for the links guys but I have looked in GNC and the other sites but are all expensive. They all seem to be branded products with nice labels, many of which have extra suppliments added and carry a large mark up.
The Whey Protein Concentrate 80 I used to get in the UK (and am trying to find the equivelent over here) was just in a white plastic tub, no fancy labels, no added suppliments and no fancy advertising campagne for the customer to pay for.
There must be somewhere that we can buy pure whey protein concentrate 80 over here direct from the manufacturer or something?
Its a product that is used loads in the food industry so its not really something that is very specialised.
This is where I used to get my WPC80 from:

| The other place I used to use is www.wpc80.co.uk (which charged £20 including delivery) but then used the "price match" on the myprotein website. |

Hey Davidgreens, welcome to Toronto, the land of the Taxman!
I've checked out a few stores around town and they're all pretty well around the same, give or take a few dollars. I'm afraid you'll have have to go online to get better deals. Many shops are not much interested in ordering products they don't usually carry, but there's one shop I buy from which is run by a good guy who'll order whatever you like ( as long as it's legal)
It's called Natural Solutions, at Sherway Gardens 416-695-1374

So even though I have read people saying"dont buy it from GNC as its expensive" it seems that they are the cheapest place I can find at the moment. They are doing their own brand of whey protein in a 6lb tub for $40 until the end of the month (regular price $60) and if I get a gold card even if I have to pay full price for it I can still get it for $48 and dont have to pay any delivery charges as I can just get it for their shop!
Anyone know of any cheaper? |

So I ended up ordering it from heavyweights.net as they had American whey on offer for $88/10lb including delivery. Whey:http://www.heavyweights.net/American-Whey-10lb_p_17-55.html
American whey also do a "bargain whey" for $35/5lb but after doing a bit of research on the various types of whey powders found that the "100% cold filtered isolate" in the standard American Whey offers much better nutrition than the Ion exchanged Whey in the "bargain Whey". Plus I couldnt find anywhere in Canada that stocked the "bargain Whey".

So hopefully I have a ordered a good product at a good price, what do you guys think? Anyone use the "American Whey"? |
