Well I was thinking about the old days, so I thought that I
come back on the old S.CA and see what's going on! I'm
still working out hard, health good, recently laid off due to the lousy economy. I'm looking forward to a new career. hopefully to come along soon. I hope that everyone is well, is Longhaul
still posting? I'll check back for a reply....

Hey Eddy! Good to hear from you again! I'm still working out, too...although to be honest, I've postponed a few workouts over the winter because it's been so busy at the snowmobile dealership. Seems like the powersports industry is doing pretty well, despite the crapped-out economy. Would sure like to hear from our former regulars...see what everyone's been up to...?

Derek, it's good to hear back from you. All is well here, I've been working out consistantly at a new gym, Planet Fitness. I was at Gold's Gym but the place was going down hill fast, dirty, closing early etc. the new place is new and clean and actually stays open as long as they say they will. I was glad to hear that your busy at work, what area are you from? I felt alone being laid off until I found that many people are being laid off every day. There was only eight people laid off at the company I was working for, but the future of the company seems unstable.

Eddy

I'm in northeastern Newfoundland (Canada's most Easterly province....figured I should tell you that, just in case your geography skills are like mine!). We've always had a provincial economy that was considered to be sub-par compared to the rest of the country, but now that we are realizing benefits from our relatively new offshore oil industry, our economy is one of the better performers in Canada. Seems like spinoffs are everywhere around here...I'm a tech in a snowmobile/outboard engine dealership, and we seem to be doing pretty well. Don't feel alone in being laid off, my friend...25000 people in Ontario lost their jobs within the last year. Just keep on rattling the iron...things will work out. Smile
