I just mentioned it in another thread and thought I would share it here. Yesterday while I was running with a dog, the dog cut in front of me, tripped me and I fell on the pavement. I've never fallen so hard in my life. My knees are so brused, one knee is all cut up and it kills to bend them and move them. I had just recently started working out again but this puts it on hold for awhile. I'm in way too much pain to do a lot of exercises. Just thought I would share. Crying or Very sad

Thanks for the well wishes guys! It's still sore as hell today but hopefully soon I'll be fully recovered.

I have a question: Would you guys wait until the pain is completely gone before I start working out again or should I start before then?

Start again when it feels right. if they still really hurt, you could do yourself more harm if you workout too early. Only you will know for sure when your knees feel strong enough to workout again.

I would suggest light to moderate exercise with your leg, so just walking maybe walking briskly, or just try to somehwat keep moving but nothing above that, by keeping up and active it allows more blood to flow around and for you to heal faster. sitting around waiting to heal for the most part is never any good always best to be as active as you can, but not to push yourself
