|
|
A thousand mile journey starts with the first step, so here we go...
My intention is to train hard and enter my very first bodybuilding competition in the summer of 2007. I have not picked a contest yet, but I'm looking at somewhere in July - August. I am going to start out the log slowly and then build it over time until the contest. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't hold back on me my friends, say what you think and feel, I will not be offended, I'm looking for honesty and insight into the contest world...Here's what my current stats are...
Age - 47
Height - 5'9''
Weight - 200 lbs
Body fat - ?? - to be measured...
My training right now is a full body workout which I will continue with for about another month, and then switch back to a split training. While on vacation in August I strained my shoulder muscles and they are just starting to feel "normal" again.
Breakfast this morning : six egg whites, three yolks... two pieces of twelve grain bread, coffee
Lunch : veggie pattie on a low carb muffin and some veggie chips, oh and more coffee (can you tell that I like coffee?)
Dinner : I have to work tonight, so dinner will be on the fly... a two scoop protein shake mixed with water, and later when I get home a repeat of the same. That's it for the first entry _________________

If you plan on competing you need to do 2 things right now.
1. Ditch that diet you have and create a new one based on your calorie requirement. (are you bulking or cutting right now?). Up your protein intake in a serious way and add about 3 more meals to your approach.
2. Ditch that full body workout and move to a split training today.
I will be honest with you, unless you are a genetic freak, that diet you have will not get you where you want to be for the comp. _________________ ~LV~

Then you should up your meals to 7-8 per day.
Here is a list of foods I share with the people at my place.
